Nathan Pierce
Chief Executive Officer, Chief Investment Officer, Chairman and Advisory Board Director
Nathan M. Pierce, Founder of Park Avenue Finance was formerly the Executive Director, Co-Head of the fixed income capital solutions team at Morgan Stanley (2010-2016). Mr. Pierce is an expert in structuring and designing complex financial innovation and hybrid capital instruments, advising on accounting, tax, legal and regulatory solutions for strategic assignments. Furthermore, he has designed 18+ first-generation innovative financial products and bespoke transactions which collectively released $3.7 billion+ of trapped value. He currently delivers proprietary financial innovation across multiple complex disciplines designed to produce or capture quantifiable risk-adjusted arbitrage profits. Mr. Pierce holds a BA, Honors Argumentation (cum laude) University of Utah, a JD/MBA from New York University School of Law and Stern School of Business. He is admitted to the State Bars of NY, MA, the SDNY and the Federal Circuit.

Dail St. Claire
Chief Operating Officer, Advisory Board Director Co-Chairman, Core Strategy Committee
Dail St. Claire has significant history building investment management firms for institutional investors from the ground up, bringing them to market and controlling them for implementation in asset management activity in the public and private markets. With over 20 years of experience as President & Chief Operating Officer for financial institutions, Ms. St. Claire launched and managed several SEC-registered investment advisors, private equity, private credit and liquidity funds.  She seeded each strategy with institutional assets growing total AUM to over $4 billion. Experienced in arranging debt and equity financing for company acquisitions, Ms. St. Claire arranged the 2017 debt financing for PKS, a $200 billion AUA RIA/Broker Dealer. She also served as Senior Equity Analyst for New York City’s Comptroller’s Office overseeing the pension fund’s $25 billion global equity and liquidity portfolios.  Ms. St. Claire has served on several non-profits and professional associations. Currently, she serves as Chairman, Finance Committee, Episcopal Church Foundation, is member, Economic Club of New York and 100 Women in Finance.  A certified running coach, she is also a competitive marathoner. Ms. St. Claire holds a BA from University of California, San Diego and a MA in Public Policy with a concentration in Business from University of Chicago, Harris School.

B. Elizabeth Fischer
Senior Director
Elizabeth Fischer over twenty years of experience in global financial markets. She worked for Morgan Stanley for eighteen years in various capacities including as Executive Director in the Global Capital Markets Group. Her concentrations included structured products and alternative investments. Ms. Fischer also spearheaded advisory work in mergers, acquisitions and restructuring. In addition, she provided bespoke client solutions, tax planning as well as developing tax-advantaged capital market products. Ms. Fischer now utilizes her breadth of experience by working as an independent consultant primarily servicing clients in private equity, hedge funds and boutique advisory firms. Ms. Fischer holds a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Iona College and an MBA from New York University.

David Muson

David Muson has more than 20 years of experience as a finance professional, with extensive corporate finance, accounting and operations expertise. Mr. Muson is also a seasoned investment banking and private equity professional with diverse industry experience. Most recently, Mr. Muson served as the Interim Chief Financial Officer and an Advisory Board member for Sportwater Beverages LLC, and has supported more than a dozen small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) across various industry segments in a similar financial capacity. Mr. Muson was a co-Founder and Managing Partner of Kirenaga Partners LLC, a private investment firm, and served as a Vice President of domestic and cross-border M&A at Houlihan Lokey and BNP Paribas. Mr. Muson holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northwestern University, and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan, Ross School of Business.

Jared Olson
Deputy General Counsel

 

Jared T. Olson is an intellectual property attorney with over twelve years of experience drafting and prosecuting U.S. and Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) patent applications. Prior to joining Park Avenue Finance, Mr. Olson was a partner at an intellectual property law firm operating in the Midwest and Northeastern United States and has experience relating to many highly technical fields, including computer hardware and software, telecommunication networks and devices, device communication standards and protocols, virtual machines and network functions, and neural network and machine learning systems. Mr. Olson has advised clients regarding patent portfolio and patent landscape analyses and has provided patent valuation, monetization, and evidence-of-use (EoU) opinions. Additionally, Mr. Olson has experience developing and implementing intellectual property acquisition strategies for diverse clientele, ranging from small startup companies to Fortune 100 companies, in addition to law firms in many different countries. Mr. Olson earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of New Hampshire School of Law (formally Franklin Pierce Law Center) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management, with an emphasis in Computer Information Systems, from Brigham Young University. Additionally, he is admitted to practice law in Commonwealth of Virginia and is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

David Liang

David Liang joined Park Avenue Finance as a Vice President in 2019. His prior extensive experience includes successful positions at Barclays Capital, UBS, and Fannie Mae. Mr. Liang earned a B.B.A in Finance from the George Washington University and an M.A. in Mathematical Finance from Columbia University. His professional interests, among many, include global macroeconomics, monetary policy, econometric modeling, and the derivatives market. Mr. Liang is a Series 7 & 63 license holder and has over ten years of experience in global financial markets, with extensive securities research and analysis expertise. Mr. Liang’s unique skillset also includes extensive experience in predictive analysis on real-world data to construct process-driven investment decisions throughout diverse asset classes. During his tenure on proprietary and flow desks, he successfully translated and acted upon macroeconomic events, firm-specific news, and market activity data to orchestrate thematic trends into executable opportunities. Mr. Liang also has had active involvement in developing and monitoring economic and securities forecast models—specifically, a U.S. inflation prediction model and a comprehensive study on market microstructure in the U.S. Corporate Bond market. Mr. Liang brings a “quantamental” framework to Park Avenue Finance, combining advanced quantitative mathematical techniques with astute qualitative reasoning to provide applicable context and focused perspective to existing and prospective innovations. Additionally, he provides execution across all product lines with Park Avenue Finance’s portfolio.

Keith J Burkard

As both Global Associate and Lead Assistant to the Founder and CEO of Park Avenue Finance, Keith J. Burkard has embraced, championed, and implemented a dedication to driving the financial product innovations that have made Park Avenue Finance a leader in strategic solutions domestically and internationally. From Park Avenue Finance’s very inception in 2016, Mr. Burkard has played critical roles in multiple aspects of the business. Mr. Burkard sources and accelerates valuable industry connections that have established Park Avenue Finance’s impressive track record; likewise, he has been responsible for capital and product development for multiple strategic partnerships. Mr. Burkard holds a BA in Political Science & Economics from the University of Miami, in tandem with a Blockchain Degree from Oxford University Saïd Business School. He brings many years of educational and practical experience in diverse financial and political markets, as well as in the blockchain innovations that are proving to be so crucial in today’s “outside-the-box” solutions. Mr. Burkard is actively serves on several Advisory Boards to innovative technology start-ups globally. Additionally, he is passionate and an actively involved advocate for the Wounded Warrior Foundation.
